I just got my PERMANENT book today. The website describes it in detail, so I won't rehash it. But, the book is very nice, indeed. I highly recommend that everyone here purchase a copy :D

I think an eBook would be fantastic. You could potentially sell it on the kindle store, or do what the Mises Institute (http://mises.org/) does and make a free PDF available. Or both. Evidently free PDFs (http://mises.org/literature.aspx) sell books because most people actually like physical volumes.

For the product I have in development, I intend to give away a black and white version with ads for free, and sell color and ad removal as two separate options. You could have a free unlinked black and white PDF (scanned), and a paid linked searchable color eBook.
