So to hand out fliers at an convention. Do you have to have a booth? Should we have a booth? Living in Michigan I could easily hit Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Northern Illinois conventions with fliers. Just trying to think ahead ;)
Naturally first we have to get our two major plans together:
1. Asteroid mission; including probes and beyond.
2. Moon mission and what do we do with ourselves.
Point of fliers:
1. Explain our goals and what we stand for.
2. How we will get donations and/or selling of bonds and shares and how the funds will be held and used.
At an booth we could show clips of what and how we want to do things. But that would require some folks good at 3-d video, which I am not. If pictures speak a thousand words, then video is a volume. Then a nice voice-over for the video. Which I would volunteer for ;)

I'm good at 3d Video! (raises hand) I'm currently working on our 3d miner visual. We'll have to ramp up our publicity material. That means I need to get to work. Showing clips is a great idea and having them available for people to take home is also a good way to get the word out.
Of course what you're suggesting will require some nice copy(type) which the art work will accompany. Mark has a lot of this done nicely on the website but whatever we include on fliers, posters and other materials will have to be shorter, catchier and to the point. And it needs to connect to the general audience and not just enthusiasts.

I am totally behind taking the idea to the streets. I've even considered going to a scificon with the message "do you want to make Sci-Fi a reality?"

We need Sam to set up a web-page on Mark's server. That lists all the possible donatee's names(contact details only seen by Mark and those Mark trusts with that sort of info).
We would not take donations at the conventions. Just try to get them interested in the concept and that there is a feasible method out there to make it all happen for under a billion dollars.
Even my poor ass would cough up $100 when the time came around to collect the money. Because I know it will really make shit happen.
Or that is how I would like to see it happen :D

Rares is freelancing and in the middle of some contracts right now, but he's working on a "vector" version of the logo (if you know what that means) in his limited spare time. When he's finished at least one of his contracts, he'll have time for more 3D modelling and artwork, although I expect he'll be chasing down more paid work.
Speaking of artwork, I came across another talented artist like Rares, but more in the vein of traditional 2D landscapes.....except these are majestic and vast space vistas and planetscapes that simply take your breath away. So, take a few extra gulps of air and then click here:
