I could use some help with this program...

It's free to download, and the sample scripts are included in the program. There's also a tutorial wiki on the website.

I've figured out a little more about GMAT, but for some reason, I can't get the asteroids' orbits to work correctly, even when I input the correct ephemeris for the date.
Would anyone care to download the program and look at the scripts with me?

Hmm. I checked the link and it worked fine for me. I've no idea why it didn't work when you tried it...

According to one of the developers, they are still working on adding asteroids to the program, so that's why I couldn't get the orbits to work correctly. I don't know if that means any heliocentric orbit won't work, though. I plan to do more research on the subject, though.
