I've read about vasamr for the first time years ago and having been hearing snippets in between. It's an extremely promising technology and this latest news only enforces this.

I noticed today an article towards the bottom of the article on the second link you provided Sam. About Gaseous Core Nuclear Rockets which is just an awesome concept that I've never heard of before. To avoid hijacking this thread I won't post the link but just thought I'd make a note.

Yes, Rares. We have the technology. Or at least most of it, at least from the 60s. It's just a matter of funding, basically. Same with PERMANENT.
